The Aussies are killing it and I have to admit I’m pretty proud. Here’s a short film documenting Kid Zoom’s painterly ways. The video, made for KINGBROWN magazine, takes a look at the process that this Australian born, New York based artist and his slightly insane cat go through with a painting from start to finish. Lotsa hard work from Ross Clugston, Bruce Clugston and Jurgen Koch.
Speaking of Aussie artists, an epic exhibition is opening soon in San Fransisco, featuring a slew of painters from down under. I’m feeling a little jibbed that I’m going to have to start flying overseas to see my favourite Australian artists in exhibition, but I’m glad to see them going far and wide with their talent.
